brooklyncollegeclclWe are seeking children 7 to 12 years-old, with and without language-learning difficulties, to participate in our research studies.

Spoken English must be the primary language used at home.
Participants receive $20 for a single 2-hour session.
Results of speech, language, and hearing tests will be provided to you.
Weekday, evening, and weekend appointment times are available.

WHO ARE WE
We are scientists interested in learning how children process language.

WHAT IS INVOLVED
Your child will participate in 2 sessions, each lasting approximately 2 hours.
1. A hearing screening and a speech-language evaluation using standardized tests will be administered.
2. Your child will be asked to listen to words and look at pictures and letters presented on a computer screen. Your child will then be asked to make a judgment about what he/she heard or saw by pressing a button.

Our studies have been approved by the Institutional Review Board of the City University of New York.
