If you re a parent facing the Special Education system for the first time or are unhappy with your child’s placement or the services they are receiving, NYSNC can help.

NYSNC consults on Special Education matters from designing programs for districts, schools and organizations dedicated to providing Special Education services to program implementation to walking parents down the hallways of the New York Department of Education Special Education system.

New York Special Needs Consulting is led by professionals with learning disabilities who work for change within the special education system. As adults who have learned to cope with their own disabilities, and with Special Needs children of our own, the NYSNC staff knows from personal experience the challenges facing families coping with complicated diagnoses and how parents and service providers can work together toward the common goal of helping the Special Needs child. Our passion is helping both parents and children make their voices heard.

Our sessions involve a blend of TaeKwonDo, music/movement, stretching and breathing exercises all guided by a relaxed and modified version of ABA Applied Behavior Analysis. Class size is limited to 4 children with ASD per session. We offer after-school and Saturday sessions.

The Language and Laughter Studio

We are a multicultural French language center and immersion French pre-school located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, New York. Since 2005 we have been leaders in progressive language education that is centered in arts integration, imagination, child-driven projects, and play based learning. If you are looking to expose your baby or toddler to the French language in a nurturing way filled with songs, stories, and art–look no further than our morning classes. If your child is a native French speaker or if your family is interested to learn French, consider one of our programs – academic, interactive, creative, hands-on, or theatrical after-school classes. All of our classes are enriched with our philosophy of nurturing the child and supporting them as they begin to explore, question, and create in the world with consideration of others and others experiences.
