What A group for dads
A new ten week group will be formed for fathers and their young children between the ages of 24-36 months., starting January 24th, 2011.
This group will be lead by Susannah Gersten, M.S.W., LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Craig Selinger, M.S. CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
We will meet on Mondays from 9AM-10AM at the Postmark Cafe- 326 6th St. (between 4th and 5th Avenue).
So, what kind of men go
We re facilitating a group of dads that are interested in the following:
-learning more about childhood development
-support and coping skills for parent-related stress
-learning the power of play through hands-on interaction with their child
-becoming more effective communicators with their child

Susannah is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in working with young children and new parents. With a focus on both mental health as well as community based counseling services in Park Slope, she is invaluable in building relationships with the schools and other services in the area. At her private practice in Park Slope, she uses individual play therapy as well as behavior management, behavior plans and techniques that involve both children and their family. In addition, she has developed and implemented an equine assisted psychotherapy program for children with anxiety, shyness and depression which works out of Kensington stables.
